Siren News, Agartala, Oct 26 : Kalyanpur Police Station area heated on the allegation of minor gang rape. A large police force led by the District Superintendent of Police entered the field to control the situation. CRPF patrolling is going on in the concerned area. In view of the specific complaint of the family of the minor victim, the case was accepted by the police station. The accused in the gang rape are Aditya Das, Tapas Debnath, Ranjit of Kalyanpur village of Paschim Dwarikapur Panchayat under Kalyanpur police station area. Police have already managed to arrest Tapas Debnath.
According to the details of the incident, around eleven o’clock on Tuesday night, the minor of Kalyanpur Thana area along with some of her friends went to a cultural program organized on the occasion of Kali Puja in Khas Kalyanpur village. It is alleged that while returning home from there, some miscreants in the area stopped their movement and stole several valuable items including mobile money. The concerned minor girl was missing since the incident; local sources said that despite many searches, the girl could not be found. Meanwhile, the girl reached her home in a devastated state in the morning.
After that, family sources claimed that the girl was gang-raped by some locals on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, the police said that the investigation of the incident is going on. All the accused will be arrested soon. But when the news spread, the locals gheraoed the Kalyanpur police station. Demand immediate arrest of those involved in the rape and appropriate punishment. Currently the situation is normal. However, paramilitary forces including police and TSR are deployed in the area.
