Stand Off Turns Into Violent Face-off 20 Indian Soldiers Martyred In Ladakh Galwan Valley

Tension has erupted on the LAC border after the violent clash between Indian and Chinese troops. Nearly, 20 Indian Soldiers including Army Colonel B.Santosh Babu Commanding Officer martyred on LAC. As per the Army Official statement, causalities are from both sides. After 1975 this was the massive clash that occurred between the two armies. Chinese side suffered 43 causalities.

The Indian Army officials further mentioned that “Indian & Chinese troops have disconnected at Galwan area where they had earlier clashed on the night of 15/16 June. 17 Indian troops who were critically injured in the line of duty at stand-off location and exposed to sub-zero temperatures in the high altitude terrain have succumbed to their injuries, taking the total that was killed in action to 20,” The statement further added that the Indian Army is protecting the Indian territorial integrity sovereignty of the nation. On the other hand, the US monitoring the issue very closely and keep all the updates relates to the Indo-China.

The tension was building up at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) for the last few weeks. The moment the new road project has started. The Chinese side was taking invalid objection as India attempted to improve border infrastructure within its own borders. There were physical clashes between the two armies but Monday’s events were unprecedented in recent past as casualties did not occur on the India-China border for the last 45 years.
